Mumford is simply a partisan Democrat hack who hopes Foley will go away. To the contrary, his think tank and proposed education reforms are far more intelligent than anything the Governor or, particularly, the teachers unions have to offer. Foley will be governor in 2014.
CT made a big mistake in electing the organized labor toady Malloy.

  2. Mumford B. says:

Tom Foley is trying to keep himself in the political spotlight. He wasted $11 Million in his failed bid for the Governor’s spot, can’t really blame him for trying to recoup his investment. But he failed to tell us about the arrests before he ran for office, and an investigative reporter found him out. His Bibb Corp layoffs and the big bankruptcy in his past cannot be ignored. His opponents in the future will tear him up. He is grasping for relevance, but Tom Foley’s naive think tank opinions and endorsements have no credibility with the average voter in CT. He is finished.

Wow, so private citizen Foley taking 5 minutes to send out an email from home supporting Republican candidates is “endless campaigning”. Then I wonder what you call it when Senator Blumenthal flies back to CT from Washington to hang out at the Democratic headquarters personally making phone calls on behalf of Democrat candidates?
