A guide to #obamainct

President Obama likely doesn’t need much campaigning to win Connecticut this fall. But Obama will be in Fairfield County Monday for a different election-related purpose: Cash.

Obama, leading presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney in polling in the Nutmeg State but neck-and-neck with the former Massachusetts governor nationally, will be in Stamford and Westport Monday for a pair of fundraisers.

Hearst Connecticut Media Group will have full coverage of the president’s visit here on the CT Politics blog; on each of Hearst’s websites; and on Twitter.

Here’s a quick coverage guide:

* Obama is far from the first current or former president to visit Fairfield County. We have more than 50 photos of former commanders in chief visiting the area, from Theodore Roosevelt in 1917 to Obama in 2010.

* Kate King has a rundown of the President’s agenda.

* Here’s what you can expect in terms of traffic in the area.
