Connecticut’s own investing guru Peter Schiff was said to have described the Romney-Ryan in those terms Wednesday afternoon.
A frequent guest on CNBC and Fox Business Network who runs the Westport-based brokerage firm Euro Pacific Capital, Schiff spoke during a luncheon for delegates from Minnesota and Iowa.
A Ron Paul acolyte, Schiff was said by one of the Minnesota delegates who was there to have railed on the economic records of both Romney and
Ryan.
He did profess his support for the GOP ticket, saying Romney and Ryan would be an upgrade from President Obama and Vice President Biden and that he hopes the Republicans could help the country.
The luncheon took place at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts across the bay from Tampa.
Schiff showed up late after his cabbie took him to the wrong museum.
