Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s political confidant tied the knot Saturday with Meagan Cowell, a senior policy and communications aide for the state Office of Policy and Management.
The proceedings even had their own hashtag on Twitter #occhiogrossowedding and appear to have been held at the Governor’s Residence in Hartford, according to check-ins by the other attendees.
Last week, Foley leveled allegations that Occhiogrosso used his connections to the governor to win a lucrative contract for his consulting firm to help with the roll out of the new medical insurance exchanges in Connecticut under the Affordable Care Act.
Occhiogrosso’s firm says the contract was competitively bid in a legal and ethical manner, however.
