Livy Floren is an ethical and hardworking lawmaker. Livy helped steer some major anti-corruption legislation through the General Assembly in the wake of the Rowland bribery scandal. Though she is far more conservative than I wish she was, she always listened. She showed the ability to picture herself in the shoes of the less economically advantaged. Her retirement is a loss to the state. I wish her and her family well.

This anti 2nd amendment career politician is doing CT citizens a solid favor by resigning. No one who loves this country and Constitution would support this woman’s policies. L

A bittersweet article for me. In the 10 years I’ve worked along side Rep. Livvy Floren I have observed the proper demeanor and class that all public servants should demonstrate in the fulfillment of their duties. Rep. Floren has been an articulate, intelligent and reasonable member of the State Legislature. She has strong values and sticks to them regardless of outside pressures and is both disciplined and compassionate in her deliberations. Although we are members of different party’s, it has been an honor and privilege to work and serve with her. I wish her and her family a happy and healthy retirement after this hopefully quick and trouble free session.
Sincerely, Rep. Rick Lopes New Britain
