Yes, Ms. Murphy-Root for Lt. Governor. Finally a choice outside of the 2 party system that means something to many of us. I trust the Pelto/Murphy-Root team which I don’t usually say about candidates for public office.

  2. S. Green says:

To put it simply, Ebony Murphy-Root is exactly the type of person we need to see as lieutenant governor. She is far and away one of the most determined and dedicated educators I know of.

There can be no doubting the level of honest compassion Murphy-Root has for students, those that she has personally taught and beyond; far more than one could ever expect from the nameless, profit-driven corporate interests that have highjacked our state’s education system. That compassion goes beyond the schools and deep into the heart of what’s really at stake: the people of Connecticut and our future.

Ebony Murphy-Root is one of us, a native with a personal connection to this state, not a shill or a talking head. I am excited by the possibilities of the Pelto-Murphy campaign. Support them!

THank you for drawing attention to Ms Murphy-Roots candidacy. She has a great future as a future leader of the state and has earned all of the positive attention she gets!

The Ticket of Pelto-Murphy is the BEST thing that could happen to Connecticut. It is time to break away from the two parties that have divided communities and devastated our state. Pelto-Murphy will place the welfare of ALL citizens above politics and power. They are both warriors for public education and for the people. Please support this dynamic duo and let’s turn the tables here in CT. We are BADASS!

Ebony Murphy-Root is a much needed teacher voice in Connecticut electoral politics where leaders seem to compete for how much they can turn the state’s public schools over to private interests. She has seen the potential for abusive treatment of teachers and students in the much favored charter schools of the state and is willing to fight for parent, teacher and students voices to have greater weight than that of politicians, foundations, and corporations.Connecticut Governor, Dannel Malloy, like his counterpart in NY Andrew Cuomo, has sacrificed public education on the altar of Corporate School Reform, assuring himself of large campaign contributions but not assuring residents of the state a voice in determining how their schools should be run. If you want someone running for office to speak out against Common Core, Testing Gone Mad and Favoritism to Charter Schools, throw your support to Ebony Murphy Root!
