  1. Idiocracy says:

Thank God someone is standing up for freedom of religious beliefs.

  2. Josh Fedeli says:

Peter Walsh is WRONG on Rep. Tong’s position on assisted suicide. William Tong is NOT a supporter of assisted suicide. If one feels the need to comment, TRY at least to fact check a bit before posting.

  3. kabee says:

Well – this settles it for me – an unaffiliated voter – no way will I vote for Foley with this and the gun lobby endorsement! While he won’t go on record to clearly state his position on either of these issues, these endorsements have done that for him.

  4. Peter Walsh says:

Mr. Tong is naturally going to get agitated. He’s a big supporter of assisted suicide, which was defeated in Connecticut by grassroots folks like The Family Institute of Connecticut.

Under Foley, we are sure to have fewer liberal activist judges on the bench, which is also distressful to Mr. Tong.

Smart move by Foley. Reaching out to grassroots groups is of great value for getting the voters out on election day.

  5. JETT says:

First of all, there are only 2 “ps” in the word “opposing” (see headline) and secondly good for these two groups for endorsing Foley. Actually, it is shameful that Tong is calling this endorsement shameful. They have a right to their views just as he as a right to be immoral.

  6. LD100 says:

Looks like Foley is locking down the mouth breathing vote, between the guns nuts and these kooks.

  7. Auntie Teabag says:

Seems like Foley is not just a corrupt businessman but a bigot as well and is actively courting the religous right hate groups

  8. Randy says:

Doesn’t mean anything. If Foley is elected reckless Progressives will still dominate the legislature.

  9. Billy bob says:

    Loser liberal democrat fornicators!

  10. jude says:

So now it’s a bad thing to be moral huh?

  11. Joe DiBiase says:

“Shameful endorsement”?!?! Because you don’t agree? I realize that was taken from a quote from Rep. Tong, but that is supposed to be his opinion, he’s a liberal politician. It shouldn’t be your headline for a news story. And who says that this group’s views are “extreme positions”? That’s an absurd statement. You actually believe that public accommodations for transgender individuals is an accepted position by the majority? Doubtful.
And if the majority of the public really thinks that killing unborn babies is acceptable, rather than taking responsibility for their own actions, then that may explain the lack of respect for life in general in our society.
And you really wonder why no one buys newspapers any longer with blatantly biased headlines like that?

  12. StamfordSteve says:

Foley seems to be doing a great job of sabotaging what should be an easy republican victory over Molloy. Is this the best republican candidate the Republican Party could find..?

  13. fedup says:

Don’t understand why this is “Shameful”????
Aren’t they allowed to have their own thoughts on gays……or is this whole country predicated on the thoughts of “liberals”?????

  14. graham says:

sounds like a great endorsement to many of us!

    good going Tom!
