Sen. Elizabeth Warren to speak at state Democrats’ fundraiser

Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren , a liberal icon who many Democrats would like to see join the 2016 presidential field, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Jefferson Jackson Bailey Dinner, the state party’s annual fundraiser.

It will be held June 29 in the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

“Senator Warren is a champion for women, middle class families, and consumers,” said Connecticut Democratic Party Chair Nick Balletto. “Like Governor Malloy, Senator Warren’s victory is proof that Democratic candidates win by staying true to Democratic values. We are thrilled to have her share her vision and experience.”
