  1. Joe Visconti says:

Neil, one point, Foley lost by 28,000. It’s important to include this fact, in case the public forgot, especially since you put my / Chet Harris number of votes in the article. As for Chris Ford’s ( aka Palin Smith ) attack on my person as a coward & betrayer, he’s an old man who got seriously, physically ill a few weeks before Election Day. As one of my greatest supporters Palin has earned the right to publicly defame me, especially after his financial as well as 24/7/365 photo/ petiton drive support of me and my campaign. That being said, I command my own destiny and if I choose to run against Blumenthal I look forward to building a new team of supporters and volunteers hopefully as dedicated as Palin was !!

  2. Palin Smith says:

The truly extreme Republicans were the establishment attack dogs who were unleashed against Visconti and his volunteers when he went Unaffiliated.
They breathed profanities daily and revealed their own prurient interests in the manner of their tactics.

If defending the Constitution and embracing one’s principles identifies one as extreme these days, don’t be worried. There’s only a handful of us still residing in Connecticut.

  3. Westport Republican says:

When Republicans like Palin Smith call Visconti a RINO, that’s the strongest evidence of how extreme some Republicans have become, which is the biggest cause of the Republican Party losing. My tax dollars are subsidizing government benefits for these lazy, unemployed Tea Party Republicans who sit at home and post inflammatory comments all day while being bitter about their lack of skills and education preventing them from finding a job.

  4. Ed Groth says:

This article is essentially a smear piece. All Republicans running for governor ended up dropping out of the race, JV was simply the last to do so. I don’t have a personal vendetta against JV as some of his harshest Republican critics do, so I look at things more objectively. He was the only candidate left that came close to representing conservatives. Those who supported Foley a second time should hang their heads in shame. When Visconti finally got on stage to debate Malloy, he did himself proud. Then there’s Foley who couldn’t put two coherent sentences together nor articulate a thought, even though he had Malloy’s terrible first term record to use for ammunition. Instead of being on offense, Foley spent most of his time defending against charges of being a vulture capitalist. Maybe Visconti can’t win, he can change the narrative and force D’s and Rinos to answer the questions that are important to conservatives. Time to move on, 2016 is right around the corner.

  5. Palin Smith says:

Never trust Joe Visconti. He’s sure to betray you!

Don’t blame Visconti for Foley’s loss. Foley’s only chance was Visconti staying in the race to take votes away from Malloy.

If you want another spineless Rino, Visconti is your man.

Visconti’s arrogance is only exceeded by his cowardice.
