Malloy talks about how GE doesn’t pay much in the way of taxes in Connecticut. How about GE’s employees? They sure do. Everything in Connecticut is ultra-expensive. Why would any major company relocate here? We are not fenced in. Anyone can leave the state, and anyone will. Malloy and his cohorts think they can solve every budget crisis ONE way, and that is by raising tax revenue, never by cutting government. And anyone can and will leave as a result. They obviously have been doing so for years, and the trend is only increasing.

Robert said, “Connecticut ranked in the bottom 10 states nationally for economic growth last year, according to a new report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. What else do you need to know?”

You need to know that Indiana ranks two spots LOWER than Connnecticut in that very report!

‘You are already starting to see the upper middle class retirees taking their pensions to states that have no state tax and have better tax benefits than CT’
Everyone in my town talks about where they are going to retire. No One is staying. Very common to talk about SC vs FL vs New Hampshire surprisingly.
Indypendence – sorry there is no talk about moving to Indiana.

Hey ole Danny Boy Bankrupted Stamford as Mayor so why not the entire state as Gov. He is a jackwagon and a thug who got off of accepting campaign donations from companies bidding on contracts in Stamford. He gave Millions to companies that ended up vanishing or not moving in CT.

Indiana is one of the few US states with a balanced budget, AAA credit rating, and 2 Billion Dollar surplus well maintaining some of the lowest taxes in America. The education system is top notch and encourages individual freedom and success. Lots of jobs are open right now with over 500,000 jobs being created in the past couple of years and the best business climate as well :)
Freedom, Prosperity, and the American Dream are proud to be home in Indiana.

  6. You are already starting to see the upper middle class retirees taking their pensions to states that have no state tax and have better tax benefits than CT…..these loss of retirees will kill the state since they don’t overburden the school district which is a major source of property tax bill in each city/town.

I’m wondering what is going to happen when Connecticut goes belly up. When people with their hands out, out number the ones that are working (I think it’s getting real close now. Everyone leaves in troves. Will the other 49 states have to kick in and carry the load or will the freeloaders move to greener pastures like locust?

  8. BCT says:

Indiana is no better. Texas, Florida, South Carolina…..that’s real competition.

  9. Robert says:

Connecticut ranked in the bottom 10 states nationally for economic growth last year, according to a new report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

What else do you need to know?

  10. Does Indiana have a negative population growth like CT….do they tax everything under the sun. CT had better wake up very quickly to the reality that tax paying people and businesses are leaving the state and are not being replace by anyone except those with their hands out for freebies.
