Here’s a story you won’t here the city’s longest running dishonest mayor talk about.
The Hartford Courant (as oppsoed to our local newspaper) reports of a bubble wrapping company in Danbury that has decided to relocated a portion of their jobforce away from the city.
Sealed Air Corp. announced Wednesday that it will move some of its jobs in Danbury to Charlotte, N.C., as part of a consolidation that will also relocate the company’s global headquarters from Elmwood Park, N.J.
Sealed Air has about 175 positions in Danbury. Manufacturing operations will remain there, but some non-manufacturing positions — less than 50 — will be relocated, a company spokesman said.
The company, which makes Bubble Wrap and other packaging systems, said it will move about 1,300 jobs from Elmwood Park to Charlotte within three years.
