It is fun to explore Westport with a walk through its cemeteries, public parks, and well-known streets and to listen to stories of the past. On Saturday, October 2 from 1 pm to 2 pm join the Westport Historical Society for a walk through Evergreen Burial Ground.
It is fun to walk through the resting place of past Westporters and learn their stories as you meander through Saugatuck Congregational Church’s Evergreen Cemetery. Discover gravestones belonging to everyday citizens as well as prominent individuals and families.
Meet on the southernmost entrance of the cemetery along Evergreen Avenue, a sign-in table will be visible.
Per State of Connecticut mandates, social distancing practices will be in effect, and masks are required unless the use of a mask or cloth face covering by anyone for whom doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety because of a medical condition.
Tickets $10. Reservations are required, register online here. Tickets are nonrefundable. In the event you must cancel, we will consider your purchase a donation and will happily issue you a donation receipt.
