The Glass House located in New Canann has announced that it will open on April 16 as an outdoor-only experience. The Glass House, built between 1949 and 1995 by architect Philip Johnson, is a National Trust Historic Site located in New Canaan, Connecticut. The pastoral 49-acre landscape comprises fourteen structures, including the Glass House (1949), and features a permanent collection of 20th-century painting and sculpture, along with temporary exhibitions.
The 49-acre grounds will be open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday between the hours of 10:00am – 4:00pm. Grounds passes are available now for April, May, and June. Advance reservations are required. Passes for the remainder of the season will be released at a later date. Children of all ages are welcome + admission is free for children under seven.
