Last night the Darien Library had a packed auditorium for the “Website Marketing Strategies & Social Media Integration Seminar” presented by the Darien Library, Darien Chamber of Commerce, SCORE and New Canaan Chamber of Commerce. The presenter, Rob Petersen talked about branding, content strategies that work, blogs, Face Book, LinkedIn, You Tube and Twitter. He presented a number of case studies that clearly told the story of what social media a company used, and the ROI they experienced. I particularly enjoyed his suggestion of using the weekly blog post as content for the weekly email—-good way to maximize use of time!
I had about six sign ups for the seminar from my “Face Book event”, I’ve connected with businesses moving to Darien via Twitter, I have DHS students who have posted my blog URL to their Face Book (which really boosted reads ) and those are just a handful of examples of how utilizing social media has helped the chamber.
Would anyone like to attend a seminar that focuses just on LinkedIn, Pinterest, blogs, etc?
Let me know.
