The Y’s Men of Westport/Weston is an organization of about 450 retired and semi-retired men. It is the largest group of its kind in Fairfield County. The diversity of members’ professional backgrounds include former key executives of major corporations, computer experts, business, media, doctors, and public relations executives, airline pilots, market and research specialists, government officials, artists, musicians, and your “common man”.
Every week, on Thursday at 10 am, from September to May members can attend a meeting at the Saugatuck Congregational Church and hear prominent individuals share their experiences. The speakers include corporate executives, national and state legislators, media executives, financial, legal, and medical professionals, actors, artists, war heroes, and international experts.
The Y’s Men participate in a wide variety of activities such as golf, bowling, camera club, tennis, skiing, bridge, chess, singing, investments, sailing, hiking, and table tennis. Organized trips have taken groups to Europe and throughout the U.S. and other countries.
