House Republicans Dealt Leadership Blow. Rep. Bill Hamzy Isn’t Running For Re-election

After 15 years in the House, Rep. Bill Hamzy, R-Plymouth, announced tonight he won’t seek re-election. A legislative pitbull, he rightly decided that it is more important to see his son play Little League baseball than to chase fungos in the floor of the House, the Judiciary Committee, and the four other committees upon which he distinguishes himself. His departure will leave a huge hole on the GOP House bench.
