When did the obfuscation become a lie? Monday morning, around the time that Gov. Dannel Malloy’s press office misrepresented direct questions on what he was doing, around the time he was getting a VIP flight to Kuwait, at the taxpayers expense.
Here’s an email thread with Malloy’s press office.
Monday 10:06…”Is the governor doing anything public today or is he taking a long weekend?
Kd”
Monday 10:32.. “He is in DC for a few meetings.”
Monday 10:36… “What is the governor up to today?
Ken”
Monday 10:48… “Hi Ken, he’s in DC for meetings today.”
Monday 10:59… “Can you say what the meetings are, for a blog post?”
Monday 11:02…” Part of his never-ending attempt to get more money out of Washington for CT taxpayers.”
There are several one-syllable words for this obfuscation. But let me pick a three-syllable one: beautiful.
