Malloy asks state clergy to tell congregants about Connecticut’s version of the Affordable Care Act

Church and state separation anyone? Well Gov. Dannel P. Malloy isn’t planning to visit places of worship himself to try and enlist people for the state’s ACA exchange, Access Health CT. But he wants clergy to tell their congregants. “Connecticut is leading the nation when it comes to providing residents with affordable health care,” he just announced in a statement. “In fact, other states are now beginning conversations on how to adopt our model because of the tremendous work being done by Access Health CT. “With the final weekend approaching, I am asking leaders of our faith community to talk with their members about not letting this opportunity pass them by.  Obtaining health care is too important, and the more people that sign up, the better off all of us will be.”

So far Access Health, arguably the most-successful state roll out of the ACA, has enrolled 165,091 residents since its launch on October 1, 2013.  The deadline is March 31. More info is available at  http://learn.accesshealthct.com/events/
