….Memories of Ned Lamont’s Second Failed Statewide Campaign: Priceless?

Actually, it’s $9.6 million that the Greenwich cable-TV millionaire great-grandson of a J.P. Morgan confidant spent to lose to Dannel Malloy in the August 10 Democratic gubernatorial primary. That’s one of the stories in his final filing with the State Elections Enforcement Commission. It’s on top of the $18 million or so Lamont spent on his close-but-no cigar attempt to oust US Sen. Joe Lieberman in 2006. Ned’s been doing some media commentary this season, so maybe at some point he’ll tell people what he plans to do with the $176.34 his defunct campaign has on hand, according to the SEEC filing. The big diss in Lamont’s records? He collected a whopping $10.08 from The Hartford Courant for a “subscription refund.”
