THe Blogster appreciates alliteration and political attacks as much as the next person, but not on state Department of Transportation signs along the parkway. “Heave Himes” was the brainchild of the Fairfield Tea Party, targeting first-term Democrat US Rep. Jim Himes, so it’s safe to say that they’re either condoning or actually erecting the signs on state property. Today there are “Heave Himes” signs on the northbound section of the parkway at the Saguatuck River and the Easton Turnpike overpass.
