The Blogster thinks his colleague doesn’t realize that “hoi polloi” means the great unwashed. But here’s a snippet from Gov.-elect Malloy’s last news conference before taking the oath of office.
Reporter: “….you’re having this huge black-tie dinner which is almost like the hoi-polloi thumbing their nose at the 100,000 people who don’t have jobs.”
Malloy: “Is that the hoi Malloy?”
