Cafero, during week of criticizing Malloy, gets invitation to bill-signing “ceremony”

House Minority Leader Larry Cafero of Norwalk on Tuesday hammered Gov. Dannel Malloy’s planned two-year budget for allegedly imaginary cost savings. Malloy’s office slammed back. But on Wednesday, there was Cafero in the small group of lawmakers smiling at the governor’s mock bill-signing ceremony at Bradley Airport, celebrating the new Connecticut Airport Authority. A reporter asked what was up.

Malloy: “He promised to be on good behavior. Listen…we’re all involved in government…You know, this is one where he actually agreed with me. I have to bring him out once in a while. I wouldn’t hold my breath it’s going to happen a lot but here we are.”
