Gov Malloy races around the southeastern CT this morning, including announcement on SuperStorm Sandy “resiliency.”

First off, at 9:45, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will make remarks at the Local 371 United Food and Commercial Workers Union’s annual Shop Stewards Conference in Foxwoods Resort Casino. Then, at 11, he will hold a news conference in New London commemorating the anniversary of Storm Sandy and make “a major announcement regarding shoreline resiliency.” For those hungry news hounds salivating for their elevenses, the event will be held in Sweetie’s Bakery & Cafe, 191 Bank Street. Malloy will be joined by New London Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio, Connecticut Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein, and other state and local officials. Then, at noon, the governor will speak at the 46th annual meeting of the One Hundred Club of Connecticut, the organization that supports the surviving families of federal, state and local police officers, firefighters and corrections officers who die in the line of duty. The event will be in the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel on Capital Blvd in Rocky Hill.
