AG votes, grabs bagel in Greenwich

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is either a really fast eater, or a master of the Election Day photo op.

The Democrat — who has been polling ahead of Republican opponent, and fellow Greenwich resident, Linda McMahon — bought a $2 bagel from the Greenwich High School girls varsity softball team after casting his ballot at the Western Greenwich Civic Center after 8 a.m.

It was out of his hands a few minutes later.

Blumenthal answered most questions from the press that had squeezed inside the civic center by saying that he has focused on “the record that I have as attorney general and showing that I care for people, will fight for them and work for them as tirelessly and tenaciously as I’ve done over 20 years.”
