Stickergate2010

After I voted today, I was slapping my “I Voted Today!” sticker on the inside of my iPhone case (this is what passes for a bumpersticker in 2010) when I noticed it didn’t match the last one I put there.

The big red check has been replaced by 1978 clip art of a pen. The blue box is out, and the red oval is in.
In this challenging economic year, just how much discussion went into redesigning this thing? Was there really a concern that the red check sent the wrong message? Who had the inspiration to put “Secretary of the State Connecticut” in red instead of blue?

I’m just happy they kept the exclamation point. I always like the reminder that we should be excited about voting.
