The ghost of Blumenthal past

A Linda McMahon lawn sign near the entrance of the Hilton Stamford Hotel, where the GOP Senate favorite is holding her primary night party.

How’s this for irony?

Linda McMahon is holding her primary night party for supporters at the Hilton Stamford Hotel, which is part of First Stamford Place.

The sleek hotel and office complex is managed by none other than Malkin Properties, which is named after real estate developer Peter Malkin.

Aside from being the principal owner of the Empire State Building, Malkin is the father-in-law of Democrat Richard Blumenthal, who bested McMahon two years ago to fill the Senate seat of retiring incumbent Chris Dodd.

The placement of McMahon’s lawn sign at the hotel’s entrance is classic.
