sorry, I was totally prepared, Been in Danbury for 25 years always went to the same place and today they told me I was not registered. Asking me over and over if I was registered!! YES! I am!!!!. they called city hall to confirmed that I wasn’t. Meanwhile, a friend saw my name in Shelter ROck. So, I went there. To the same person my friend saw my name and they told me I don’t belong there and I wasn’t registered. I told her, “Humor me lady, look at my friends name and you will see my name there” so giving me a dirty look. When I saw my name. I told her, look I am registered!!! Went to city hall, to find out more. They also didn’t know what happen. When I was there. I heard alot of the same, SO people its, not that we are not prepared, its the system that is not prepared. so, know your stuff, before you speak. thank you.

    It was a bit confusing.
I researched the night before where I was supposed to vote.
    I am in Ward 5.
When I got to the Danbury War Memorial.. Ward 5 was labeled 110.

and there were tables marked 102 and 09.

It was a bit confusing as you walked in. A bit too many people milling about. There should have been 1 or 2 people at the door to direct people.

Otherwise, it was very easy and simple.

and if you call them on their laziness, then they accuse you of being an elitist know-it-all, while they are just some poor working stiff.

I feel the same way but this is now how people are, most do not or will not take responsibility for their actions or lack of decision making. They just do not use the brain that they have. We are all supposed to know what the other person is thinking because they don’t know how to think for themselves.

It never ceases to amaze me how there are always a bunch of people who never seem to know where they’re supposed to go to vote EVEN THOUGH it is published in the newspapers (very much ahead of time, I might add) and the Registrars Office sends out postcards to EVERY registered voter REMINDING them where they’re supposed to go. And all they have to do to find out is to call the Registrars’ Office a day or two ahead of the election if they’re still unsure.

But hey, why be proactive? Let’s wait until the very last moment on Election Day, and then stand there SCREAMING at the election officials because you were too stupid to find out for yourself and now its 2 minutes to 8 and you’re never going to get to the other side of town in time.

Uh-huh, it’s all the Moderator’s fault, right buddy? Lady?
