President Barack Obama is en route to Hartford after boarding Air Force One shortly after 11 a.m.
Obama joined U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Thomas Perez along with the state’s entire House delegation who are accompanying him on the trip.
According to press reports on board the plane, the president is wearing a dark suit and blue tie.
White House Communications Director Jay Carney and Perez are expected to speak with reporters on board the one-hour flight.
