Adam Lanza’s mother warned his babysitter

Ryan Kraft, interviewed on ABC’s Good Morning America, recalled Tuesday that before he first babysat for Adam, Nancy Lanza instructed him “to never leave Adam alone.”

Officials say that Adam Lanza killed his mother in her bed on Friday morning, then broke into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown and shot 20 young children and six adults to death before killing himself.

Dr. Michael Weller, a psychiatrist, told GMA that warning signs of Adam Lanza’s mental problems likely started early.

Lt. J. Paul Vance, the state police spokesman, said investigators will “go back to the day he was born” to get answers for why the 20-year old Newtown man committed the second-worst school shooting in American history.
