According to FBI reports released as part of the State Police report on the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the shooter, Adam Lanza “was freaked out” by Hurricane Sandy, which struck the town on Oct. 29, 2012.
At the same time, the report said, Adam- by this time a recluse _ refused to leave his mother’s home after it lost power.. Nancy Lanza bought a generator a few days later, the FBI said.
