Nancy Lanza wanted to sell her house and move to Washington or North Carolina and Adam had said he would agree to move to Washington. Knowing Adam wouldn’t stay in a hotel, she planned to buy a recreational vehicle. On December 10, she cooked him some of his favorite meals and left to visit family in New Hampshire, returning on Thursday, the 13th at 10 p.m. Investigators said they could find no one at SHES with whom Lanza might have had personal contact.
“He was undoubtedly afflicted with mental health problems; yet despite a fascination with mass shootings and firearms, he displayed no aggressive or threatening tendencies. In some contexts he was viewed as having above-average inteliigence; in others below-average. Some recalled that the shooter had been bullied; but others – including many teachers – saw nothing of the sort.
