You really think it’s a “big if?” Interesting.
I read a witty little quote from somebody online somewhere that went something like, “Jamie Koharski is everything that’s wrong with nepotism.” š
IF (and I mean a big IF) the team ends up back in PA next week and you get a few hours off, DO the Mine tour. . . very educational. Or the Steamtown USA National Park. . . very cool! Or if nothing else, head over to the Steamtown Mall. . . some neat stores and you can walk outside the food court and take a look at the old trains parked outside of the Museum. Should have mapped this out for you sooner! Have fun & LET’S GO TIGERS!!!
There have been worse. Worse in this season series, in fact. By the same referee.
Still, I too wondered if he might call something there. And in other places.
Jason, the family research is going better than I could have hoped. I’ve thought about the mine tour, but I’m having too much success at the library. Maybe next week.
“the obvious gritty Sound Tiger that came to mind was Sean Bergenheim. And he came through tonight. A few big hits early, then a big play to shirk off Drew Fata and set up the first goal.”
Assist to Koharski on that one. Games don’t get offiated more poorly than Game 1 was.
I was really impressed with the play of Bergenheim, Thompson, and Collins. I think they set the stage for game one. Hopefully they keep it up for game two, which will make for a very exciting night.
Also, Mike, how’s the family research going? You should take the team to the Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour tomorrow afternoon, that place is a trip.
Sounds like the team did a great job last night, I am positive there won’t be any let down Saturday night. Looking forward to Sunday. If you want to give yourself a laugh, check out the blog for the Penquins. There is a lot of chatter and it is only after game 1, if we can pull of a second win Saturday it will only get better. Let’s Go Tigers!
I have to admit that I was impressed with Comeau. I’ve been talking him up big because I thought he was really impressive in the World Juniors this year, but I didn’t really expect to see him walk in the door, lace up the skates, and keep pace (almost the whole game) with guys like Collins and Tambellini. That line was actually the one to watch since it had three guys who’ve never played together beyond one practice coming together and they looked right. These guys could have scored three or four more tonight if they had a bit of luck and Sabourin wasn’t so sharp.
