From behind (and slightly to the right) of the goal I can say that the first goal definitely looked like it went in. The puck was kicked into the crease and slid past the goal line (didn’t go in) and then Filewich slammed it in and it bounced out quick. The ref was lined up almost even with me, but even a little more to the right and he never hesitated for a second. I heard that the goal judge didn’t push the button immediately because he was screened, which made sense since most fans to my left were screened as well. When Dubie started to complain I think he might have been complaining that he thought they called it a goal from the kick into the crease, but that wasn’t the case. I also heard after the game that they had looked at the replay upstairs and it went in. But, that was just one of two goals for a team that has scored three goals in two games. Keep them out of the net today and everything should be fine.

The Filewich goal was without a doubt not in. It bounced off the crossbar and into the crease. Bad call. Also, I couldn’t tell you what the Penguins need. They look lost out there. Someone asked me if it was time to panic after last night’s loss….and I simply said no, it’s not. It’s time to pack it in and go quietly into the summer.

What else do the Pens need? Game 1 they complained about the missed calls. Game 2 they get an advantage in power plays with a huge margin and they still can’t win. THe Tigers are playing like the intimidators, usually the role of the Pens. I think without Nasredinne the toughness is running out of the Pens.

How can you get a good perspective from that perch they stick you atop the arena? You would think you would get a better vantage point to view the game. Like center ice….
