I read yesterday’s article, and of course now the Sound Tigers website has the usual “Thank You Fans” message that every website of every sports team puts out when their season is done. I still have a hard time believing our hockey season is over; Section 105 didn’t give it’s proper “goodbyes”, we were so stunned by the Penguins OT win and the noise from their fans. We tried, but just didn’t have the same intensity and so it’s over. Mike, you are always a pleasure to read, whether in print or in the “blog”. It was fun waving to you and Bill up there after every home game. I know next year will be a LOT different in many ways, but hopefully it will also be different in a longer, more successful season! We will look forward to seeing you and reading you again, and perhaps we’ll see you (or at least the CT Post) at the Relay for Life in Fairfield in June! And Let’s Go Mets!! Take care of yourself & watch those deer!!!

Your Blog was my first stop every morning during the season. It was such a fountain of information on what was going on with the Sound Tigers (5 year season ticket holder). Thanks to you this rather confusing year with ever changing roster was made much simpler. During the season my family tries to get to know most of the players and their families. Your insight and comments help a great deal. Hope you can keep it going next season.

Mike- I enjoyed your work with this blog all year long and will be looking for it again when next season rols around. I hope that you keep it going. Hope you are feeling better sooner than later…enjoy the summer.

Mike, as always, you have done a wonderful job for the BST fans and countless other fans who don’t necessarily follow the Tigers. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your stories over the years from the coverage in the CT Post to your blogs. I will check back here from time to time to see what’s new you may have uncovered for us.

Continue to get well and rest up. I sure hope the summer flies by fast. I’m already having Sound Tiger hockey withdrawals. At least there are still other teams to go see and of course my beloved NY Mets in action. See you in the fall.

Michael- you deserve a standing ovation. Without you covering the team we would be lost. You were able to post your thoughts, comments and insights that still amaze me. Especially when you start throwing us numbers. I wish there was more people like yourself who appreciate hockey in Bridgeport, because I feel that the team in the long term will not be here if the fans do not start to show. Lets see what Howard does different now that he has the entire summer to plan his masterpiece. It was cool to see so many people write in and offer their thoughts. Heck, I did not even know what a blog was before this came into my life. And like nyisles39 said, I too land here every morning. You are modest to give props to everyone, but you deserve them and have earned them with your dedication and love for hockey and writing!! I will follow your Brakettes blogs since I am into softball, but I can’t wait for October already. Again thank you for taking care of us diehard hockey fans and I hope you recover quickly. All the best, STAN

    Mike-
Thanks for everything! As a BST fan living on LI-you are the only link I have to what’s going on.
This blog is my second stop every morning. After here- I head over to the paper’s website.
I can’t believe the season is over- feels like it just started!
Rest up and enjoy your summer…Plan on next season ending in late May!
