What can you guys tell us about the players sent to Utah? We are pretty excited out here to know who will be headed our way.
According to Mike’s article in today’s CT Post, Morrison was signed to an NHL contract.
Way to go Mo! So happy to see Morrison got signed. I think this is the best situation possible for both him and Ouellet.
I’m assuming Morrison got an AHL contract? yes?
I’m guess #91 is the highest number worn..?
Holy crap, Morency made the team? When do the Penguins play the Tigers first!?
I guess we will no longer be one of the least penalized teams in the league. It looks good on paper. Hopefully the injury bug will not bite to hard to quickly.
By the looks of the final roster, this team will have a good mix of “movers-and-shakers”. A good balance of size, speed, scoring and checking. Defense looks solid. Everybody needs to play disciplined and keep their emotions in check on the ice (i.e. retaliatory penalties). Pitton was the character guy last year. Who can forget that great 3rd period last year vs. Philadelphia when he was the only guy with guts to stand up to the Phantoms for a cheap check on a team mate. That fight turned momentum around – the Tigers got 5 goals in the last period to win 5-4. He’ll be back before too long. Marjamaki was touted as “the next John LeClair” by some when he first arrived. He fell way short of that in checks and scoring the past two seasons – maybe he put too much pressure on himself. A stint down in Utah will give him the chance to do well and bring his confidence level back.
Hopefully a good start in the standings will increase interest and bring more fans out earlier in the season. It seems attendance improves after football season is over. By then, over one-half the season is already over. Let’s get them in the door now! Drop the puck – lets rock!
Anyone else confused as to why they sent Pitton away? I never even noticed Labelle on Sunday…
