Too bad the Islander suits couldn’t see Masi play in Cromwell on Sunday. He got into a great fight (AND KNOCKED OUT SOME WOLF PACK PLAYER’S TOOTH!) and he was hitting the crap out of people. We’ll all miss him.

I tend to agree with Anonymous regarding Marjamaki. Great guy, but didn’t get on the board enough. He worked hard and I hope he’ll re-think and take Utah, or end up in a deal with another organization. As for the prediction for 3rd or 4th, that remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure: this will be a ton-better team than the one we saw last year. Coaching IS DEFINITELY more solid, the team will not get pushed around with new aquisitions, hopefully, a lot less shots on our goal against our goalies, also better balanced and talented scoring need to stayines. I think all any of us fans want EVERY NIGHT is a good solid effort and a competitive team. They need to stay as injury free as possible, as well as the Islanders. The less call-ups the better.
I think the Arena missed the boat last Saturday night at the Islanders/Devils game. It would have been nice to have had a moment-of-silence in memory of Bill Gonillo. Maybe the Sound Tigers would consider doing this on Opening Night. Let’s NEVER forget his memory!

    I guess they won’t be retiring #16 for Colley…

Any word on who will be the Captain and who will be the Assistants. Will they keep Wotton with the “C”

Interesting team assembled in Bridgeport. At this moment I’d be hard pressed to predict anything higher than a 3rd or 4th place finish for this team. But I guess that’s why they play the game. As for Marjamaki, its pretty sad. He fell a long way down. We saw glimpses of very solid potential, but it seems the committee of men in suits have now decided they like soft and fuzzy in their children’s stuffed animals, not their hockey players.
