A couple of Floru links mention that he’s listed in one number but wears another. Given that he’s never been here before, I’m pretty sure it had to be him, because that’s not a name you’d just pull out by accident.

Designed in honor of CHL referee Tudor Floru, who helped along the bogus suspension of Ted Crowley, as well as made numerous other horrible officiating decisions in the Central Hockey League.
I am trying to find the list of numbers for the AHL referees. However, I do remember the lineup sheet did say Floru with the number 48. The AHL box score has been known to be wrong. Also, remember that there are multiple officials that wear the same number. I know that Ryan Fraser is number 14.
The AHL Game Summary lists Floru as #14… but tonight’s ref was wearing #48. So, was it Tudor Floru, or the one more commonly seen wearing #48, Frederic L’Ecuyer?
