I do not think Drew deserves to be called up either. I think he is still hurten from those back spasms and is not the same player as he was last year. But in my opinion none of our defensemen deserve to get called up. Spiller has the size but does not always play with that aggressiveness. Though hopefully it is Spiller, then the veterans in the NHL can toughen him up some.
Drew? I just threw up a bit in my mouth when I read that comment. Can anyone (not named Ford) be worse then Drew? As for Fraser, he’s been benched a few times in the past couple weeks so that seems like a longshot, although I know a lot of fans might want to see him get a chance.
The easy answer for a Sutton replacement is Spiller. I can’t imagine that they’d even consider anyone else since Spiller has the size and aggressiveness that they lose without Sutton and lately he’s been our best defenseman on a nightly basis.
If Sutton is hurt for a period of time who would the Island call up? Possibly Drew or Fraser?
That’s great news. Any time line on how long he will be out? Maybe we should not let him play against Hartford again. LOL
