where is Morency? I did not see his name above?
The ironic part is sitting on the bench during this Florida trip and watching DiPi let up 8 goals in a game is the same guy we played that song for. I’m sure the way that the Islanders season is going, it’s only a matter of time before dubie sees some more action.
While watching I came up with these lyrics, sung to the tune of Sinatra’s “Strangers in the Night”
Strangers on the ice exchanging passes
Wondering on the ice
What are the chances we’d be scoring goals
before the night is through?
Something on open wing was so inviting
Something playing D was so exciting,
Someone on the bench
Screamed, “Hey kid your shift is through.”
Strangers on the ice, five on-loan people
We were strangers on the ice
Up to the moment
When we scored our first game goal
Little did we know we would have to show
That we could play in triple A
In spite of what the fans might say and-
Ever since the intro we’ve played together
Playing on this team won’t last forever
It’s O.K. by us
We’re ready to board the bus
what happened to morency? shouldn’t he have suited up?
