The way that team looks (and I was there again tonight and will be on Thursday), they might as well bring Smith up and let him play. It doesn’t even have to be 4th line minutes. Kip barely played, but that’s expected. Keith played 7+, but that included an amazing full 2 minute penalty kill where he and JC got caught out there and somehow survived it. The thing about Smith is that he plays the kind of offense that their team desperately needs so if he could get the 10-12 minutes that Frans and JC got tonight it would make sense (and give him the tip of the cap he definitely deserves).

Oh… and that was probably one of the best games in Joey Mac’s career tonight. Now if he can just come back here and keep doing it.

Oh, right, sorry, Andy: No idea. Have at it here: Do you give Smith a game as a tip of the cap, or do you call up vets to play a fourth-line game? No right or wrong answers, really, so have some fun…

Don’t spoil my Thursday notebook!!! 🙂

He confirmed this morning that he doesn’t have a deal beyond the ATO.

    Mr Fornabaio,

Are you aware the Sporting News is reporting Peter MacArthur signed with the Islanders a few days ago?

Seems like a mistake because he signed an ATO with Bridgeport.

    Any confirmation either way?

    Thanks

A Johnson (who might actually be a worse defenseman then D Fata) is not eligible to come here. He wasn’t on our clear day roster so NHL guys cannot play here unless they were on the clear day.

Mike – Do you think they might give Smith a game on the big club now that they’re giving one (or more) to Keith? Seems to me that Smith was a bit more deserving (not that Keith didn’t deserve it too).

As long as fata and Spiller are back tommorrow night thats fine.
I wonder what the chances that A.johnson gets sent down here when the season is over.I know he got a 2 way deal when he signed.

He would be a good edition to a pretty solid set of D-men for the final push.
