Last night shocked me. We’ve been alternating goalies all season, but let’s face it, there’s a huge difference between the goalie performances on Wednesday and Friday. Mo wasn’t great on Wednesday, but the team was horrible and he simply got beat. Mac was horrible on Friday night. Something like 4 of the 5 on Friday were juicy rebounds and last night he was right back to laying the puck out front and was lucky his skaters were covering for him. Then, of course there was the losing goal, as soft as it comes and the kind of play that they teach mite goalies to make sure they never allow.
How disappointing was it to finally get the majority of our team back from Long Island only to have the goalie(s) suddenly give out.
Go Tigers! Go Penguins! If we’re not 3 points out by tonight then I doubt there is much chance of playing hockey in two weeks.
I wanted Mo in net, but didn’t expect it, and for the reasons listed above.
If Mo doesn’t get the start today, I’ll be shocked, but last night didn’t surprise me at all.
I would of liked to see Moe in net. He has better puck awareness and he’s able to control rebounds better. It wasn’t all mac’s fault last night..
