A freind of mine who speaks swedish gave me the following translation to the article referenced on eliteprospecs.

“It says that Peter Regin and Riku Hahl might be going over to the NHL and a possible replacement for Timrå is Frans Nielsen. The Islanders stopped him from playing in the worlds cause of a shoulderproblem but he has recently getting indications that the NYI might not want to keep him for next seaosn and his agent says that the SEL would then be a possibility although frans wants to play in the NHL if the NYI wants him.”

Why does Nielsen have to clear waivers? He signed when he was 22 (2 seasons ago) and the waiver rules for 22 year old signers is 3 years as a pro or 70 NHL games. He hasn’t hit either mark yet. Waiver rules are age at signing, not current age.

I would like to see Tambellini traded to Nashville for D-MAN Kevin Klein.
It would give both of these guys a fresh start.Klein has 3/4 potential and is stuck in a logjam of Dmen in Nash.Tambellini would get a show of helping a rather inept Offense.Even though the Isles O isnt to good either.

    Mr Fornabaio,

For what it’s worth eliteprospects.com in it’s doubtful rumors section a few days ago does link to an article that Frans Nielsen could be playing in Europe and list a team.

As a RFA at his age he does have to clear waivers to return to Bridgeport as would Tambellini.

    Excellent work here as always.

They do get OT, but not tied at 1. Mosienko scores with about 5 to go and Andrew Mac matched him in the final minute. Now if the Griz can just make this one come out better then Tuesday night.
