    I just saw that they sent Trevor Smith back to Bridgeport. That’s ashame, he just scored his first goal.

    A player serving a minor or even a major penalty is still eligible to go in the shootout. The only players ineligible are those who’ve been assessed a game misconduct or a match penalty.

    Another question regarding penalties in OT. If it goes to the shootout and a player still has time left on his penalty at the end of the sudden death 5 min OT, is he ineligible so participate in the shootout? Houston had 2 guys with penalties at the end of the 5 min OT.

    all penalites are posted half of the actual call. The player still gets the full minutes in his stats.
