OK, I won’t say NYI. The talk in the spring was that was where he was going. That talk has died down somewhat. Still haven’t heard one way or the other on DeHart.
I have always been one of the biggest Gleed supporters and I hope he hates playing across the pond and comes back to be signed mid season by the Tigers.
I am also getting fed up with no signings for Bport at all. This team better not be offensively challenged this year like last year and at this point this team has zero offense outside of Joensuu(who has a outside chance to be on the Isles) and a little from Martin(also a chance to make the Isles).
That rhymes 😀
Where would Hamonic go if not to Bridgeport? Don’t say NYI because he didn’t look ready when we saw him last week. He looked great in juniors, but that’s against kids. I think he needs Bridgeport.
Also, what about DeHart? He’s old enough to come here.
Doubt very much Gleed would stay without 2-way NHL contract. Would have thought another organization would given a 2-way. By going to Europe he’ll be paid higher than he would on an AHL contract, improve his skating (if that was a problem), and if he puts up numbers, he should receive more offers (chance of a NHL job) to return to NA.
Agreed on Gleed.
If they bring back Motherwell or Friesen or even Gannon, I’ll be really disappointed. Not because they can’t play, but because Gleed would have been a better option and they let him go.
Rough guess here. Don’t know if they’ll add a veteran. Hamonic may be here, may not. Wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to re-sign some of the guys who were so good at the end of last year — Gannon, Motherwell, Friesen — but no indication that that’s imminent or even a real possibility.
Michael – The Tigers had quite a logjam at D last season. By your calculation, how many of them will be returning?
