I agree with Jeff this season is brutal to watch most nights and the additions they made after the subtractions they allowed were pretty terrible. When all is said and done the only player excelling in this role is Michael Haley and thats probably because he is always giving full effort and not going thru the motions.
When you set young players up to fail, 99 times out of 100 they fail. The Islanders and the Sound Tigers both put out piss poor products the last couple of seasons. It is starting to smell like the end of New Haven hockey all over again.
This concludes the most painful month Sound Tiger hockey. We knew by the way the off season was conducted and that they were rated 28th out of 30 teams before the season that this was going to be an interesting season at best. They can’t score, too many times the goalies are facing a barrage of shots and with all this they really haven’t been blown out of games. They do tend to have a problem seemingly going through the motions in the first period and they don’t “wake up” until they score their first goal. Too many times the goalies give up a goal on the first shot they see, too many times they give up goals in the closing minute of a period. It could be worse, they could be getting blown out of these games.
Looks like there mite be a little history here.
I found a link to the Condors Aces brawl. Hard to tell what really started it, but I lean towards the goalie.
