No one refunds for parking! Tennis, baseball, football, or any other event to was postponed or cancelled.

TO JACK…You should talk to the City, I do not believe the Soundtigers make anything off of concessions & parking. By the way a few years back I went to a Bluefish game and the clouds rolled in during the anthem and before the first pitch was even thrown it poured and flooded the dugouts. The City’s parking people did not issue refunds but the Bluefish had to offer refunds. They hire minumum wage (workers) to work in the garage and parking lots. Bring these points up at the next City Common Council meeting. Write your aldermen, the parking authority and mayor Finch’s office. Also contact the CT Attorney General’s office, it was fraud to charge for parking for a game that was never played. BTW, do the NY Yankees ever give out parking refunds?

Today’s game isn’t “free” for the thousands of fans who were in attendance on Sunday 3/27, stuck in the arena for three hours before any announcement was made regarding the cancellation/ postponement of the game. I heard the BST players were already showered and out the door way before the 5pm announcement was made!
Why were fans allowed in to begin with? Just so the Sound Tigers can rake in concessions? The ice was UNPLAYABLE from the get go. Where can I get my $5 refund for parking? The fair thing to do is when picking up these vouchers for a future game is that free parking and $10 worth of food/ drink are included! How’s that being fan friendly for a team that has the worst record in the AHL?

everything that goes on there is minor league, not just the hockey.

It’s a shame, now 2 Sunday’s in a row the Soundtigers had big advance sales and last week the game was moved to 6PM and people did not show and now this Sunday’s cancellation. The sad thing is the city collected money for parking and did not refund it, that should be illegal. I hope that ESPN, the NIT, Fairfield University & the NCAA re-imburse the Soundtigers for their lost sales. Everyone gets in for free but what about the season ticket holders that paid for 40 games and now get 39 games? Do they get refunds?

Well we heard the ice was lousy at 10 AM and nothing had been done to it. So did they work all night? There was a big hole behind the net in section 111 and other holes that you could see the gray cement under it.

  7. hank says:

yes, heard they indeed worked through the night. bigger change over than the bball game

when I got there it looked decent and then I think the zamboni guys went to deep on the cuts.. note to arena – don’t play on sunday in 2012 after ncaa

next year ncaa is 3/23-3/24, so no game on sunday 3/25 THANK YOU

  9. Who said they didn’t work all night?

  10. Lori says:

Why didn’t the Arena people work all night to fix this? They worked all night last week to get Fairfield up and running. Soundtigers are the main tenant and a pro team but it seems like they always play second fiddle to FU, NIT, NCAA & Elmo. The City just doesn’t care.

  11. They need at least the trapezoids back. And they’d (and their sponsors would) surely rather not have the ads covered. All indications are that no one thought this would be a problem until gametime approached and it was.

    Why not leave the ice?

I posted a picture on Twitter of what it looked like over there behind the Cuse net. I’ll repost it here for those who missed it.
