Michael, looks like Ullstrom is back, one more to go with Casey.
I have a bone to pick with the Islanders. I am a die hard Islander and Sound Tiger fan, but what they are doing to our roster right now doesn’t make sense. The Isles have 6 games left and they just signed John Grahame to back up Montoya. I like this move for the Tigers as it allows Poulin to play with them as they push for the playoffs. What I don’t like is that they haven’t re-assigned Cizikas or Ullstrom. If those guys are only going to 8-10 minutes a night for the Isles, give them back and let Nino play those minutes. He’s not eligible to play for the Tigers yet. This way Cizikas and/or Ullstrom get their AHL legs back playing the 18-20 minutes a game and get their rhythm back with their linemates to push for the playoffs. It makes no sense to keep them for the last 6 games. It’s not like they’re evaluating their play at this point. I’ve seen this in the past with the Islanders at the end of these meaningless seasons and with the Kings and Rangers doing it to the Nighthawks years ago. Have some heart for the fans of the teams in your organization that are actually going to play in the post season and put the teams in a better position to win. It only helps their experience in the long run!
