I don’t have any recollection of what may’ve been happening in Chicago that week. Considering they had to travel and Chicago didn’t have the building available on the weekend, that was probably the best available schedule. It’s 10 years later, but I don’t remember the rest hurting. They’d played a lot of intense hockey in a short period of time.
Olivier Labelle is making his first trip overseas next season, and will be off to Austria to play for the Graz 99ers, per eliteprospects, where he will be teammates with Cole Jarrett and Dustin Vanballegooie: http://www.99ers.at/?p=9340
What was going on at that time? Games 1 & 2 were on consecutive nights then game 3 was 5 days later. Did this layover affect the team play when the series resumed?
Michael, good job with these. I can remember being there for these games. On a different note Kabanov looks good in the Memorial cup, hope he comes here next year.
