An instigator in the last five minutes is a suspension.
If Riley came on when Nelson came off, and if you wanted to interpret rules a certain way, you could argue that Riley entered the game and started an altercation, which is reviewable, but again, nothing automatic.
I was wondering the same thing about Riley and Gallant. I thought I had seen that there was something in the rules regarding fights within the last 5 minutes of play.

Ehh… there’s no automatic suspensions from any of that stuff. Maybe they look at it. My own feeling is a suspension would be excessive, unless I missed something.
Mike will Gallant get suspended for having 3 majors plus the spearing didn’t help.
