    It could come up in other ways, but the most usual one is the one that’s spelled out in that rule itself: If a player’s name is misspelled on the lineup card and it’s brought to the referee’s attention, he’s ineligible. That happens every so often. Here’s another one. And here’s one with lotsa local flavor, including a story about how a team once dressed the wrong guy but at least got to replace him. And I assume it happens in games not involving Peoria, too.

    So, I guessing there in no more dry scrap, but what is an ineligible player?
